Italian traditional music, dance, artistic heritage and much more are included in the spectacle "Days of Italy" jointly organized by the Palazzo dell'Arte Maddalena, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture.

Program

Saturday, May 24th from 19:00

- A musical program that will mark the 25th centenary of the founding of the city of Naples with songs. The repertoire will include songs of traditional Neapolitan music, Canzone Napoletana, performed for guests by the renowned vocal soloist Pina Porcio.

Monday, May 26th from 18:00

- Lecture on the topic of Italian art. Specialist in Renaissance and Baroque art, art historian, Prof. Stefano Zuffi will present exceptional Italian exhibits from different eras that are part of the collection and permanent exhibition of the Museum of Antiquities at the Madeleine Palaces of Art.

- The lecture will be followed by a documentary film about the greatest sculptor of Italian neoclassicism, Antonio Canova.

Tuesday, May 27th from 19:00

- Visitors will enjoy a musical and theatrical evening dedicated to the Italian national dance - the tarantella dance. The concert will feature the Quartetto Salentino, led by the prominent instrumentalist Nico Berardi, and a popular dance couple with decades of experience in choreographic and dance performances of the tarantella: Veronica Calati and Marco Martino will perform a traditional dance from the Apulia region.
