Secretary of Culture and the city of Belgrade will support this year’s Festival that will be presented from 10th to 25th of June 2017. It will be presented in the venues such as the Kolarac Concert Hall, the Church of St. Peter and the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary's Ascension in Belgrade. During the Festival, two anniversaries will be celebrated: 450 years from the birth of Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi and 250 years from the death of German composer Georg Philipp Telemann. Besides recognized artists, scholars of Foundation for Young Talents of the city of Belgrade will perform at the concert entitled "Talents play Baroque".
Manifestations like this festival promote quality music and support young people integrating into cultural happenings. Secretary of Culture of the city of Belgrade, Hungarian Cultural Center "Collegium Hungaricum", Italian Cultural Institute, Makris Foundation and others support International Early Music Festival.
Artistic director of Studio for Early Music and Early Music Festival, Predrag Gosta proudly says that the Festival was established in 1991 and was held until 1996, and that it has been continuously organized since 2012. Also, the 25th anniversary of the Studio for Early Music is celebrated this year.
