Winter Campaign for Voluntary Blood Donation

The traditional Winter Campaign has been organized for 17 years by the Serbian Blood Transfusion Institute and the Serbian Red Cross with the support of local governments and the media.

The goal of the campaign is to provide sufficient amounts of blood for the treatment of sick and injured patients during the period of the year when reduced blood reserves are expected, as well as to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of voluntary blood donation throughout the year.

The winter campaign begins on 3rd January and ends on 28th February. During this period, voluntary blood donation will be organized in the local community in more than 40 cities and municipalities as an incentive for citizens to get involved and symbolically compete for the title of Champion of Solidarity.

The 17th Winter Campaign of 2025 will be opened by Loznica and Cukarica.
